Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds ordered the temporary closure of all casinos in the state of Iowa as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to a press release.
NOTICE: Many events listed here have been canceled or postponed due to the Covid-19 emergency. It is best to call ahead or check with organizer's websites to verify the status of any local event. Tragically, there aren't any casinos in Albert lea. But you'll find nearby venues such as Northwood Diamond Jo Casino, Emmetsburg Wild Rose Casino, Prior Lake Mystic Lake Casino, Prior Lake Little Six Casino, and Welch Treasure Island Casino & Hotel.
While there have been no reported cases at the property, based on the governor’s order Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood closed at noon Tuesday. This closure will impact all public operations, including the casino, restaurants and event center. It expects to remain closed through March 31.
